If it's too good to be true, it is too good to be true. But you already know that

People come to me and tell me they were promised to be able to speak Arabic after 6 months. I say, great. What are you expected to learn after 2 weeks? 2 months? 4 months? They usually have not been told that. They just know they were told they would speak in 6 months.
Committing yourself to such promises will get you no where. Whoever promises to make you speak must give you a plan with deliverables and dates. If you commit to a 1 month course, understand exactly where will you be with your speaking after the 1st week, the 2nd week, the 3rd week, and so on. Demand this, you are paying money to speak not to be promised you would speak.
I am very clear about the deliverables of each class and they are on my website. To know more what you can accomplish after studying every class here: http://www.letsarabic.com/study-program/

Learn a new word: MENN

"MENN" is an Arabic preposition meaning "from".

Now combine the word you learned earlier ("ana" which means "I") with this preposition and tell people where you are from!  Remember, there is no verb to be in Arabic.

Let's try:
Ana Salma.  Ana menn Egypt :)  I am Salma. I am from Egypt.
Time for you to practice!

"I" in Arabic.. Say it with confidence

Learn to say "I" in Arabic. Remember, there is no verb to be in Arabic. So, when you want to introduce yourself, simply say "ana" followed by your name. It's that simple!
For example: ana Salma (I am Salma).   If your name is 'Anna', it is still the same. You say: ana Anna :) Start practicing now.

Let's Speak Arabic!

So, you want to speak Arabic and you have tried memorizing words and phrases, bought books and even joined classes but nothing seems to really work?

I volunteered to teach Arabic to my colleagues at work. I was sure I'll find easy to understand, practical Arabic books in bookstores and online that facilitate my task and make them speak. After a month and a half of extensive searching, I could not be more disappointed than I was.  There is absolutely nothing out there that can genuinely help people learn Arabic.  I saw that all Arabic teaching books fall under two categories.  The first category of books expect you to memorize sentences like a parrot and repeat them without the slightest comprehension of what words mean and hence leave you paralyzed as to making your own sentences and being independent in expressing your thoughts. The second category of books are those that offered too much irrelevant information for non-Arabic speakers that is guaranteed to push them away from learning the language.  I came to a decision: if I want to make my 52 colleagues speak Arabic, I have to write the book myself and not depend on the commercial stuff on the internet and on the shelves of bookstores.

This course does not:
1- teach you how to read and write Arabic.
2- give you phrases to memorize without understanding.
3- study for you. It makes studying so easy and a lot of fun though. But if you don't dedicate time to study, you will not speak.

Learning Arabic with me is like learning how to cycle. Once you get the balance of your bicycle, you will never forget cycling no matter how many years pass without you getting on a bike!  That is my promise to you.

Learning Arabic, or any other new language for that matter, requires you to study. So, be ready to get your feet wet, we are about to embark on an exciting journey where I'll give you a Ferrari but you're going to do all the driving!
